Biography

Sandeep Krishnaveni Thirumalai is a Biomedical/Electronics&Communication engineer holding both undergrad and master's degrees from Anna University, Chennai. In 2017, he undertook a project at DEBEL, DRDO, Bangalore, focusing on the development of lower extremity exoskeletons for military personnel. He was working as a Biomedical engineer in a reputed Hospital firm in Chennai, before he embarked on this Ph.D. journey in 2018, dedicating his efforts to design and develop quantitative assessment devices for Neuromotor Developmental Delays in Infants. He is passionate about bridging the gap between technology and healthcare, showcasing a commitment to innovative and cheaper solutions in the biomedical field. His research aims to design a multi-parameter based neuromotor evaluation tool for infants and children using recent technologies which emphasizes on early detection of neuromotor developmental delay or defects, with associated quantitative values to provide a user-specific rehabilitation in patient progression..
